End of the Old Santa Fe Trail, this plaza was
haven of rest to the weary traveler in the
early days.
The Monument, seen in the center, was erected
in memory of the heroes of the Indian Pueblo
Rebellion of 1680 and other battles, and their
names are inscribed thereon.
The Palace of the Governors is seen on the north
side, while a tablet marking the “End of the Santa
Fe Trail” is on the south.
