Scene of Commodore Perry's victory of
Sept. 10th, 1813. This beautiful monument
rises 352 feet in the air. Fish abound around
its rocky shores and the small mouth bass
are in abundance. Hotels, cottages, and an
amusement section, wineries, and its caves,
attract thousands of tourists annually.
