Kirtland Field, popularly called "Albuquer-
que Air Base" is the world's largest Air Field
and the nation's foremost Bombardier School.
It is named for the 3rd oldest Army Aviator,
Roy C. Kirtland. Strategically located to the
west coast, it is also glider pilot replacement
center for the West Coast Air Forces Training
Center. Col. Frank D. Hackett is C. O. in
charge.
