Cities of thola in New Mexico, Francisco
Vasquez dr Orcundo, spent the winter there
and in the sp oi 19 started for Quivira
(Kansas), also reputed to be a i gion of gold.
Again he was nippointed but he and forty
companions stayed six weeks with the Quiviran
Indians and wrote King Charles of Spain that
what is now Kansas wa. 1 fair or "mroductive
land and advised its nizatior, - an early
period.
