3009.-CABIN JOHN BRIDGE, near Washing-
ton, forms part of the aqueduct system which
supplies the city with
the city with water from the
Potomac. It is 420 feet in length; and the
arch, with a span of 220 feet, is the largest
stone arch in existence.
