PRESIDENTIAL RANGE AND MOUNT WASHINGTON
HOTEL. Nowhere in America is a territory of equal area
broken into a greater diversity of scenic attractions than
among the White Mountains, which present every type of
barren grandeur and wood-clothed pleasantry. Their principal
group, the Presidential Range, carries snow for one-half the
year, a fact which has won for the mountains their title.
