Dedicated to the late poet who, for much of his
life, was associated with the College as teacher
and lecturer. Built in 1965 with an anonymous
gift of $3.5 million, the library stands on the
site of the former Walker Hall (1868-1963). Its
holdings number approximately 375,000 vol-
umes, and include a Frost Collection; materials
of Emily Dickinson, William Wordsworth, Clyde
Fitch, Leigh Hunt, Eugene O'Neill, and Richard
Wilbur; rare books and manuscripts; and College
memorabilia.
