MARK TWAIN HOTEL, ELMIRA, N. Y.
The Mark on the Park
Named after the famous humorist Samuel L.
Clemens, the Mark Twain Hotel is a modern set-
ting for the colorful background of Showboat Era
brought to life by the New Orleans room and
other sections of the hotel appropriately named.
Mark Twain lived in Elmira over 30 years, and is
buried in Woodlawn Cemetery here. The hotel
that perpetuates his name is one of New York
State's finest.
