Opened May 17, 1971. The beautiful new two
level building with four jetways and eight depart-
ure gates cost $3,533,000.00 contains 145,000
square feet of area, and is so designed that no in-
terruption in service will be necessary for expan-
sion to double its size in the future. Fast jet service
is provided with connections to all 50 states and
foreign countries. The instrument runway, made
of thick concrete, is 13,500 feet long, 300 feet
wide, and is the second longest commercial runway
in the United States.
