Consumer Power Company's BIG ROCK POINT NUCLEAR POWER PLANT Near Charlevoix, Michigan Michigan's first operating nuclear plant went into full operation early in 1963 and has an electric generating capacity of 75,000 kilo- watts. A public information center at the plant attracts thousands of visitors annually.
