It is surrounded by many beautiful summer homes of New York business men, and it is connected by canal with the celebrated Lake Champlain and is part of the system of water-way to the St. Lawrence River. It is possible to go, by water, from New York through Lake George, the canal and Lake Champlain into St. Lawrence river right to Chicago, and vice versa. |
