DUTCH WINDMILL, GOLDEN GATE PARK.
Located at the western end of
the park are to be found two
great windmills of the Holland
type. The one situated in the
northwest corner was the first
one built, at a cost of $25,000,
while the one in the southwest
corner, the largest in the world,
is a gift of Samuel G. Murphy,
who contributed $20,000 for the equipment of
this useful and picturesque windmill.
