One of the world's wonders, the Natural
Bridge, 215 feet high with a 90-foot reach, "is
a single block of limestone with many shades
of color." Wide enough to span Broadway
and high enough "to throw in shadow Niagara
Falls or the turrets of Trinity Church." It

leaves the mighty buttresses of "the Bridge,
