CADET PARADE, WEST POINT, N. Y.
The precision marching of the West Point Cadet is world
famous. Drills and ceremonies take place almost daily
from early May to early October, except during the sum-
mer. Each Saturday a formal inspection in ranks is held.
Close order drill, while no longer of practical use on the
battlefield, teaches leadership and coordination of mind
and body.
