The CHURCH OF THE INCARNATION, Madison
Avenue at 35th Street, New York City. The Parish was
founded in 1852. The present building was opened Decem-
ber 11th, 1864. It was restored and enlarged after a fire and
worship resumed in it in December, 1882. The two paintings
in the Sanctuary are splendid examples of the work of John
LaFarge, and represent "The Nativity" and "The Adora-
tion". The paintings show the Shepherds and the Wise Men
adoring the Incarnate Son of God.
