This magnificent structure, built of unhewn
logs from the forests of Oregon, housed the for-
estry exhibits at the Lewis & Clark Centennial
Exposition. Many of the logs used in the con-
struction of the building measure 50 feet in
length and 7 feet in diameter.
The building is now maintained by the City
of Portland in its own natural park, which is the
scene of the Annual Rose Planting on the 22nd
of February.
