ENTRANCE HALL. A stately entrance to a su-
perb Mansion. Here in the great Entrance Hall of
the Queen's Dolls' House we see a beautifully
curved sweep of white marble stairs with wrought
metal balustrade. The floor is of Lapis Lazuli and
white marble and there are suits of armour, a statue
of Venus, hall-table with visitors' book and diminu-
tive pen and inkstand. The beautifully decorated
walls and ceiling, representing the expulsion of
Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden, are the
admirable work of William Nicholson.
