HOUSEMAID'S CLOSET. This comparatively
humble but very useful section of the Queen's
Dolls' House deserves more than a passing glance.
The fairy housemaid may here find all the tools of
her helpful department. Water is laid on. Little
sinks have teak draining boards and behind these
are diminutive Dutch tiles which are replicas of
existing patterns. Step-ladder, dust pan and brush,
vacuum cleaner, brooms, polishes, mops, hot
water cans are there, and ready in case of fire is
an up-to-date extinguisher.
