Regalia in Strong Room. Behind the close-set steel bars in the Strong Room of the Queen's Dolls' House may be seen the Sceptre and Orbs and other symbolic emblems of the Regalia. The King's Crown and the Queen's Crown, encrusted with real tiny jewels, are veritable masterpieces. These beautiful miniatures are replicas of the real crowns so safely guarded by the Beef-eaters in the Tower. Not only is every stone represented, but the great treasures of the Black Prince's ruby, Edward the Confessor's sapphire and the great diamond, Koh-i-noor, are shown in their true proportions |
