SCULPTURE MACHINE.
Made by JAMES WATT, in 1809-14.
A rapidly revolving tool, driven by gut from a treadle is mounted on an
adjustable frame along with a feeler. As the latter passes over the
original object, the tool cuts a corresponding shape on the copy.
Both original and copy are capable of rotation in step on their axes.
