It is quite an awe inspiring experience to watch the recording needle tracing its tell-tale record on the smoked paper chart, and to know that, although it cannot be felt, an earth- quake is at that very moment possibly doing enormous damage somewhere in the world. The Seismograph is installed in the Bureau of Inform- ation, Third Floor.
