The Pont de la Concorde, built in the 18th century by
Perronet, connects the Place de la Concorde with the Quai
d'Orsay. The sightseer, who crosses the Seine here, finds
himself facing the celebrated and imposing columnec
porch of the Palais-Bourbon (Chamber of Deputies), which
is situated between the Tuileries Gardens and the
Champs-Elysées.
