Old Stone House

| Main near 20th. Among the most respectable of "Modern Antiquities," in point of age and appearance, of which Richmond can boast, is this old one-story stone house, which dates from (probably) 1743. Tradition will have it that General Washington During the Revolutionary War, made it has headquarters upon one occasion. It is now in possession of the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities. |
