HIGHLAND PARK OBSERVATORY
The Highland Park Water Tower and Observatory
stands at an elevation of 1097 ft. above sea level.
The height of the cut stone and brick structure
built in 1927 and 1928 to supply water to the
Highland Park district directly adjacent is 117 feet.
The tower is forty feet in diameter and houses a
steel water tank with a capacity of 200,000 gallons.
A spiral staircase surrounds this reaching to the
observatory floor which commands a view of the
entire panorama of the Twin Cities and a view of
counties.
