At the 36-acre CALVERT Distillery, the largest and
most modern in Maryland, comprising sixteen separate
buildings, whiskey making and blending is looked upon as
a fine art. In the making of CALVERT'S famous blends
more than one million bushels of grain are used yearly and
more than fifty million pounds of coal are burned in the
operation of this distillery whose six warehouses have a
storage capacity of fifteen million gallons.
