One of America's most notable examples of ?
pointed Gothic architecture, the Chapel of
Duke University occupies a place at the cen-
ter of the campus to tower above the sur-
rounding academic structures. The chapel is
noted for its 50-bell carillon, its large 7,791-
pipe organ, its beautiful stained glass, and
o ornamental sculpture in stone, wood, and
metal.
