New from the ground up... Aerostar Van is equipped
for work or play. It carries loads up to a ton... and can
tow up to 5,000 lbs.-when properly equipped. The
standard low-back front bucket seats face a
computer-designed instrument panel...and with the
passenger seat removed, there's 176.2 cu. ft. of cargo
space. The easy-opening liftgate opens to a 56.5 x
45.1-in. cargo port...with 48 inches between wheel-
house to accommodate flat-loaded paneling. Two
models are available: Standard and XL with a host of
options. Standard powertrain is the 2.3 liter 4-cylinder
(EFI) engine and 5-speed manual transmission with
overdrive. A 2.8 liter V-6 engine and 4-speed auto-
matic transmission with overdrive are also available.
