THE POOL OF LONDON.
The part of the Thames known as the Pool, extends from
Fresh Wharf, or Old Swan Pier at London Bridge, to Lime-
house Pier in Limehouse Reach. The most important objects
seen on the banks are the Monument, St. Olave's Church,
Billingsgate, Custom House, Tower, and some of the princi-
pal Docks.
