Ramona Outdoor Play; romance of early California. Its
beautiful setting among the natural rolling hills in the color-
ful Hemet-San Jacinto Valley is steeped in tradition. The
story of Ramona and her Indian hero, Alessandro, is staged
by the people of the twin cities of Hemet and San Jacinto as
a community, non-profit enterprise. More than 350 people
are in the cast. The play's world wide fame has attracted
over 978,500 persons during the four decades that it has
been annually staged.
