CONNEMARA FARM. The last home of Carl Sand-
burg, the World renowned Poet. Carl Sandburg
was born in Galesburg, III., Jan. 6, 1878, died
at Connemara Farm, Flat Rock, N. C., July 22,
1967. The two time Pulitzer prize winner in 1940
and 1950, lived here from 1942-1967, the longest Color King
that he lived at any one
as the "Carl Sandburg Home National Historic
Site", by The National Park Service, Flat Rock,
N. C.
