Gray-haired Type
HE type of the grande dame is
here given us so exquisitely
by Harry Marshel. This can-
not actually be called a type,
as no one is born with gray hair.
But how softening is this gray, or white,
hair to the face. What a dignity it adds!
The gray-haired woman needs a soft,
natural color. And the eyes will deter-
mine the shade of rouge to be used. But
this color must be applied with a careful
discrimination, that the natural charm of
the type be always preserved. There
must be no hint of the artificial.
If the gray-haired type possesses blue
or gray eyes, Djer-Kiss Duchesse Marie
Rouge should be carefully shaded to the
very tones of the skin itself, and softened
with Blanche Face Powder. If dark-
eyed, use gently Princesse Jacqueline or
Charlotte Corday Rouge with Chair or
Rachel Face Powder.
For day-time very, very little rouge
must be used by this type. Evening al-
lows a deeper shading of color.
And-always-for a refined, adherent
base, Djer-Kiss Vanishing Cream.
