MASONIC TEMPLE. One of the first important
institutions to be established in Duluth after its founding, in
1869, was the fraternal Order of Free Masonry. The popularity
of the craftsmen is attested by the strength of the subordinate
branches and most conspicuously by the attractive Temple,
erected in 1887 at a cost of $100,000.
