(AP)-Part of the observance of
the 100th anniversary of the
birthday of Madame Lillian Nor-
dica, famed Wagnerian soprano,
will be held here July 23 in a
church where she often sang.
Maine.
The Farmington singer. whose
interpretations of Wagner's mu-
sic became famous the world over,
sang at the Damariscotta Baptist
Church in 1870 and at other
times..
This time, her scores for one
of those appearances will be sung
by soprano Barbara Hardy
against a background provided by
the music of the Lincoln County
Orchestra.
The performance will be a
benefit for the orchestra's scho-
larship fund.
