Derwentwater is to be obtained from Friar's Crag,
At the end of this promontory is a memorial to John
Ruskin, which bears the following inscription:-
* JOHN RUSKIN, MDCCCXIX-MDCCCC,'
"The first thing which I remember as an event
in life was being taken by my nurse to the brow
of Friar's Crag on Derwentwater.
• DERWENTWATER."
