of Derwentwater is superb, the rich colouring of the
rocks and crags at its lower end completing the charm
of the prospect. The chief beauty of Derwentwater
is in the blending of the tints of the crags, fells, and
woods rising abruptly from its waters. Ruskin's
View, as depicted, is probably the finest of the lake.
