THE CUYAHOGA RIVER, which is 80 miles long, has
about 7 miles of its length within the limits of the city of
Cleveland, where its width is 130 feet, and its average depth
18 feet. At Cuyahoga Falls (32 miles away), the river gradually
descends until at the end of 2 1/2 miles it is 200 feet lower
than at the falls. Great ore docks,-among the largest in
the world, -are situated at the mouth of the river.
