The Gnu is a species of Antelope, resembles
both horse and cow, and lives in herds in
Southern Africa. It has dark horns tapering
out sideways on the neck, a vertical mane,
and a bushy beard on the under jaw. When
alarmed, it flings up its heels and capers like
a restive horse. A Gnu brought to bay or
wounded turns on its assailant.
HOW A CHILD'S LIFE WAS SAVED.
G. A. Baker, Carney, Michigan,
writes: My little girl caught a cold
that lasted over a year. We employed
three doctors, none could help her.
She got so weak she could not stand.
We used Warner's White Wine of Tar.
It cured her.
