THE CAPTAIN
The first Sightseeing tours of the Upper Dells were in 1869, by rowboat. Today, you

rest along the river, and in Cold Water Canyon, Witches Gulch, and at Stand Rock.
The Captain is 50 feet long, 11 feet, 2 inches wide and carries 85 passengers. It is
powered by a 130 horse power 4 cylinder Detroit Diesel engine. Operating from early
April to November 1st. It makes about 3 trips daily on the Upper Dells, Wisconsin
Dells, Wisconsin.
