SIR JOSHUA REYNOLDS, born July 16th 1723 at
Plymton (Devonshire) died July 23rd 1792 at London.
Pupil of Thomas Hudson of London, perfectionated
in Italy. He is said to have painted more than 2000
portraits. Besides Romney one of the best portraitists
of the 18th century.
