Sunset on Puget Sound. Puget Sound (so named
in 1792 in honor of Lieut. Peter Puget of the British
Navy) is a charming body of water, calm and deep, and
at night glistens under the shimmering light of the
moon. Gliding along the Sound, with the snow-capped
Olympics on the west and the grand and rugged Cascades
on the east, leaves an impression that cannot readily be
effaced.
