THE HALE HOT SPRING is one of the best known
of the forty-four in the city. "Old Hale Spring," as it is
called, discharges thirty-five gallons in twenty-four hours; on
Jan. 8th, 1906, its temperature registered 145,2 degrees Fahren-
heit. In connection with this Spring are bath houses containing
26 tubs. The Government receives $30, per year for each tub
and also fixes the price for baths at 40 cents each.
