Carpenters' Hall. Carpenters' Hall was erected in 1724
by the Carpenters' Company, a society of carpenters and
architects. Here the first Continental Congress assembled
on September 5th, 1774, and the first bank of the United
States was in this building from 1791 to 1797. It contains
many objects of historic interest.
