Millais
SIR JOHN EVERETT MILLAIS, * 8. VI. 1829 at
Southampton, 13. VIII. 1896. With 8 years old he
became pupil of the portrait painter Henry Sass and
with 11 years he entered the schools of the Royal
Academy being the youngest student ever admitted.
Millais was a man of immense charakter and wide
sympathy and his work is of a very comprehensive
charakter, embracing subjects of the most diverse kind.
