Additional Details:
Unity is strength. The Union Jack is the national flag of Great Britain and Ireland, and dates from the Union of 1801. It consists of three crosses--that of St. George for England, the Saltire of St. Andrew for Scotland, and the cross of St. Patrick for Ireland. The word "Jack" is derived from Jaque, a surcoat emblazoned with St. George's Cross, not, as is generally supposed, from "Jacque," the signature of James I; that monarch, however, added the cross of St. Andrew to that of St. George
