Cradle of Liberty." Next to Independence Hall the most
interesting building in the United States. The historical
public hall on the second floor is adorned with full-length
portraits of Revolutionary celebrities and is still used for great
political gatherings and public demonstrations. Its basement
story is Faneuil Hall Market, the center of Boston's lively
market district. Erected 1742.
