THE WASHINGTON NATIONAL AIRPORT
The Washington National Airport, located
on Gravelly Point on the Mount Vernon Boule-
vard between Washington and Alexandria,
Va., is the third largest airport in the world,
exceeded only by New York and Chicago. It
was built at a cost of $15,000,000 and was
opened to full time operation June 16, 1941.
It may be reached by taking the A. B. and
W. bus at the terminal located in Washington
at 10th and D Streets, N. W.
