Montreat is located eighteen miles east of
Asheville, N. C., near Southern Railway. The
Town is supplied with electric lights, water and
sewerage system. There are about three hun-
dred cottages.
Montreat is the summer Assembly Grounds
of the Southern Presbyterians. During the 0
summer religious conferences are held attended
by twelve thousand people.
