ÆOLIAN—This float is an idealization of the
Æolian harp, which is one of the oldest musical in-
struments. The harp itself is represented in the
apex
of the float and the figures which stand in front of the
harp represent the winds playing on it. The large
figure holding the harp represents outdoor music.
