The "Good Earth Village" costing $1,250,000
is one of the Fair's largest concessions. It is
a reproduction of an ancient Chinese walled
city, with shops, dwellings, cafes, shrine,
theatre, temple and gardens.
Native farmers are seen working in rice
paddies and soya bean patches artisans
carving ivory, jade, silver, mother of pearl
and porcelain, thin as an egg shell, is
manufactured-Festivals and plays abound.
Fortune telling by trained Chinese Larks is
very interesting.
