Port Bolivar lies opposite the city of Galveston
about three miles across Galveston Bay. The Boli-
var Light House marks the entrance to the harbor
and is a conspicuous landmark visible for miles in
all directions. Port Bolivar is developing rapidly as
an important auxiliary terminal for Galveston's im-
mense railroad and marine traffic.
